Dr Gav Schneider

Dr Gav Schneider is an acknowledged subject matter expert on Integrated Risk Management, the Psychology of Risk, Safety and Security with extensive senior level management and leadership experience. He was the first Recipient of a Doctor of Criminology Degree with a Specialisation in Security Management (UNISA).

He is the Group CEO of the Risk 2 Solution Group which is a group of security, safety, medical and emergency response companies that focus on innovative integration and consolidation solutions. He is also the Program Director for the Graduate Certificate in the Psychology of Risk at the Australian Catholic University (ACU).

Dr Schneider has worked and/or trained on five continents and presented training to Presidential protection units, Special Forces, operational CPOs, Law enforcement personnel, reaction teams and various other security operators. He has also presented hundreds of training interventions for corporate clients and other civilian groups and individuals. In addition to the security and safety sector, His experience extends to working with organisations in the Resources, Governmental, Aid, Financial and METS sectors.

Dr Gav Schneider is the Author of ‘Can I See Your Hands: A Guide to Situational Awareness, Personal Risk Management, Resilience and Security’ and ‘Beyond the Bodyguard: A guide to protective practices success’. He has been interviewed as a subject matter expert by media organisations such as the ABC, CNBC and the Associated Press as well as being featured in prominent security journals. He is a fellow of the Institute of Strategic Risk Management, a fellow and member of the board of governors of the South African Institute of Security (SAIS) as well as a member of ASIS, and a previous member and fellow of the United Kingdom and Indian Security Institutes.
