He is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society (RHistS), United Kingdom, a Fellow of the Royal Asiatic Society (RAS), United Kingdom, Chair for ANU Religion Conference Committee, and the Chair for the National Association of Foreign Scholars in Korea (NAFSIK).
