Bio: Dennis Kengo (Nilsson) Oka works at Synopsys Inc. as Principal Automotive Security Strategist. He has been involved in automotive security since 2006. Dennis received his Ph.D. in Computer Security, focusing on Automotive Security, from Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden in 2009. In the past, he has worked with Volvo Car Corporation in Sweden where he researched authentication and integrity principles for wireless communication with vehicles. Dennis has also conducted research at SRI International in California, USA in the areas of security in wireless sensor networks and Bluetooth communication. Moreover, Dennis has conducted research at Waseda University in Japan in the areas of security and dependability in embedded systems. Prior to joining Synopsys, he worked for ETAS K.K. in Japan where he was responsible for the ESCRYPT (embedded security) business in Japan and for engineering and consulting projects in APAC. Dennis has over 60 publications consisting of conference papers, articles and books, and has presented at a number of international conferences and events.
