State of the Internet / Security: Credential Stuffing: Attacks and Economies

Akamai has released research detailing wide-ranging credential abuse attacks against online video and music streaming services, ranking Australia as the 5th most targeted country for credential stuffing attacks.

Among the findings in the Report, three of the largest credential stuffing attacks against streaming services in 2018, ranging in size from 133 million to 200 million attempts, took place shortly after reported data breaches.

State of the Internet / Security: Media Under Assault

Research found that web attacks against media and technology targets have doubled over the course of a recent 18-month study. These verticals also account for 35% of credential stuffing attacks.
