Ponemon Institute is pleased to present the results of The 2019 State of Password and Authentication Security Behaviors Report, sponsored by Yubico. The purpose of this study is to understand the beliefs and behaviors surrounding password management and authentication practices for individuals both in the workplace and at home. The goal was to understand if these beliefs and behaviors align, and why or why not.
Synopsys, Inc. and SAE International, have released a report, Securing the Modern Vehicle: A Study of Automotive Industry Cybersecurity Practices. Based on a survey of global automotive manufacturers and suppliers conducted by Ponemon Institute, the report highlights critical cybersecurity challenges and deficiencies affecting many organizations in the automotive industry.
Organizations represented in this research recognize the importance of having an encryption strategy, either an enterprise-wide (39 percent of respondents) or a limited strategy that targets certain applications and data types (37 percent of respondents).
The study found that data breaches are costing more, taking longer to identify and contain, and more often resulting from malicious attacks.
