Nick Savvides

Nick Savvides is the Senior Director of Strategic Business, Asia Pacific, at Forcepoint, the global cybersecurity leader for user and data protection. As a recognised business leader, Savvides’ remit includes leading a practice that works with Forcepoint’s key customers and partners to deliver innovative and transformational security projects by taking a whole of business, human-centric approach.

Savvides is an information security expert, with over 20 years’ experience, having presented at over 80 conferences, contributed to many high profile panel discussions and regularly appears in the media on cyber-security related topics. With this in mind, he is also responsible for providing thought leadership and over-the-horizon guidance not just externally to CISOs, industry and analysts but also to Forcepoint’s product and research teams.

Prior joining Forcepoint, Savvides spent 14 years at Symantec in various technology, sales and leadership roles across Asia Pacific. Most recently, he was Symantec’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Asia-Pacific & Japan, responsible for the company’s portfolio strategy and innovation roadmap, and providing local market insights that influenced global strategic planning and product development.

Prior to Symantec, Savvides worked for the University of Melbourne in various technology-related roles. Most notably, he managed the high-performance computing technologies at the Centre of Excellence for Quantum Computing and was responsible for developing nuclear microprobe analysis tools.

Savvides is an active member of the IT Security community and a member of a number of industry bodies. He is a Science graduate of The University of Melbourne having studied Physics and Computer Science.
