WHAT IS PROTECT?
Launched in 2005 with the Anti – Terrorism Council, an aftermath of the New York 911 terrorist attack, the PROTECT series is the only government – private sector partnership in our country devoted to promoting national security and safety.
The PROTECT conference series on Doing Business Amidst New Threats is a serious forum for communicating areas of concern on security matters. It provides the setting for dialogue and network thinking among concerned government agencies, managers of critical infrastructures, finance, social services and those responsible for security and safety of business, the community and our people. PROTECT brings to realization that overcoming all threats to security must be a commonly-shared task between the government and the private sector.
Over the years, the PROTECT conference series had anticipated the prevailing security threats for the year- from terrorism – to H1N1 pandemic – to global financial crisis – to severe natural disasters – to cyber attacks – to data breaches – to disruptive technologies and now to increasing geopolitical and societal risks, the digital age, to artificial intelligence.
At PROTECT, we bring together global and local analysts, business leaders, industry experts and government officials tasked to safeguard our national security in an atmosphere of free-willing focused discussions.
