NACSA Cyber Security Summit

The Inaugural of NACSA Cybersecurity Summit (NCSS) from 30th July to 1st August 2024, which will take place at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) in Putrajaya. Under the theme “Unified Efforts for a Secure and Resilient Malaysia,” this premier, invitation-only event which is organised by the National Cyber Security Agency, Malaysia (NACSA) and co-organised by Alpine Integrated Solution Sdn Bhd, aims to convene top-tier professionals from various sectors for a comprehensive discussion on the current state of cybersecurity affairs.

The NCSS 2024 targets senior executives and CISOs, emphasising Critical National Information Infrastructure (CNII)’s role in national security through educational initiatives. It focuses on actionable cybersecurity solutions and best practices, essential for protecting critical infrastructure. The summit provides strategic insights to develop effective cybersecurity strategies. Highlighted sessions cover NACSA’s pivotal role as a cybersecurity regulator, aligning with the Malaysia Cyber Security Bill 2024. This legislation likely aims to enhance national cyber resilience, define regulatory frameworks, and specify agency roles in safeguarding critical information infrastructure. The NCSS themes complement the bill’s objectives, emphasising collaboration and education for robust cybersecurity measures in Malaysia.

NACSA
The National Cyber Security Agency (NACSA) was officially established in February 2017 as the national lead agency for cyber security matters, with the objectives of securing and strengthening Malaysia’s resilience in facing the threats of cyber attacks, by co-ordinating and consolidating the nation’s best experts and resources in the field of cyber security. NACSA is also committed to developing and implementing national-level cyber security policies and strategies, protecting National Critical Information Infrastructures (NCII), undertaking strategic measures in countering cyber threats, spearheading cyber security awareness, acculturation and capacity-building programmes, formulating strategic approach towards combatting cyber crimes, advising on organizational cyber risk management, developing and optimizing shared resources among agencies, and fostering constructive regional and global networks among entities with shared interests in cyber security.
