Off-Earth Mining Forum West 2023

We would like to invite you to the Off-Earth Mining Forum (OEMF) West 2023 proudly supported by Fleet Space Technologies, a one-of-a kind event for individuals interested in the latest advancements in the space and mining industries. As we embark on a new era of space exploration, the mining industry is poised to play a critical role in shaping the future of space technology. The Australian Centre for Space Engineering Research (ACSER), the UNSW School of Minerals and Energy Resources Engineering, and Australian Remote Operations on Earth and in Space (AROSE) are thrilled to host this event and welcome speakers and delegates from national and international research, government, and industry across the broad spectrum of the
burgeoning space resources sector.

Why attend?

To learn from world leading experts on the current state of the art in the technology applied to space resources, how it can drive innovation in project life cycles design and autonomous operations in extreme environments – for your application to your companies

Who should attend

Although this is the sixth iteration of the conference, which has previously been highly focussed technically, this year is different. We are specifically looking to engage technology executives, internal company drivers of innovation, engineers, scientists, and university students, with sessions tailored to that purpose. Attendees will be individuals who are passionate about space, mining, and related industries, willing to meet and share their experiences, insights, and perspectives on the latest advancements in the field. In previous years we have attracted speakers from the space agencies of the US, Europe, Japan, and Korea, as well as from prestigious companies, universities and research organisations.

Speakers will share their experiences, insights, and perspectives on planetary science and geology, mining technology and equipment, robotics, automation and swarm, legal and regulatory frameworks, sustainability and ethics, commercialisation of space and business models, space-mining industry differences and commonalities, current missions, start-ups and SMEs.The event will take place on 22 August 2023 at the Deloitte Offices in the Perth CBD.
