We speak with former Executive Assistant Director for National Security, FBI’s intelligence division and current Global Chief Security Officer at Everbridge, Tracy Reinhold.

Everbridge is the global leader in critical event management (CEM) and national Public Warning solutions. All Australian states and territories went live on Everbridge Public Warning system in 2021. It is the system used for emergency services to warn the community of a pending threat.

As Global CSO at Everbridge, Tracy is responsible for advancing Everbridge’s enterprise-level security strategy, as well as working closely with customers and partners to optimise their organisational approach to managing and responding to critical events.

Following two years of testing across all Australian states and territories, the Australian Government went live in 2021 with Everbridge’s next-generation population warning system to enable police, fire, and emergency services to alert communities to a likely or actual emergency.

Tracy discusses his role and how governments, agencies and businesses can use an incident management system to shield against cyber attacks, keep employees, travellers and residents safe, bolster operational resilience and how to enable better business despite increasing threats. He also talks about how to leverage AI, machine learning and human analysts to enable societal and business resilience.
