We take a look at the growing interest in Space Tourism with Dr Chris Flaherty.

Following the inaugural Edge-of-Space Flights by Virgin Galactic, and Blue Origin, we will look at the growing sector of Space Tourism. The Adventure flights are predicted to rise from 10 a year, in the near future, to 360 a year by 2030. The forecasts, for a 9-year period from 2021, are: “global cumulative revenues of $7.9 billion generated by 2030” (Northern Sky Research, 2021). This is based on a progressive rise in passenger figures from that suggested earlier, from a potential worldwide pool of 13-15,000, to some 41,000 passengers by 2030.
