At the Ransomware Resilience 2026 conference in Kuala Lumpur, Jelena Matone, CISO with European Institution, discussed key challenges in AI and cybersecurity, including unauthorised access, data poisoning, adversarial data manipulation, and compliance with regulations like the EU AI Act and GDPR. She emphasised the importance of early compliance and gap analysis.

Matone also highlighted global resources like Mitre’s ATT&CK for AI and the NIST AI framework.

She encouraged the use of established regulations to avoid reinventing the wheel and shared her involvement in AI and cybersecurity initiatives in Italy and Luxembourg, including Women in Cyber.
