Inaugural Commander of Defence Space Command now supporting space industry capability

We speak to Air Vice-Marshal (retd) Cath Roberts AO CSC who has been appointed to the Defence SA Advisory Board and also the Advisory Board with the Andy Thomas Space Foundation.

Ms Roberts has had postings as Head Aerospace Systems Division, Head of Air Force Capability and was the inaugural Commander of Defence Space Command responsible for consolidating space capabilities across defence and enhancing space operations in Australia.

Commenting on the appointment, Defence SA Acting Chief Executive Reg Carruthers said the appointment came at a critical juncture for South Australia’s defence and space industries.
