We speak with Gregg Ostrowski, CTO Advisor with Cisco AppDynamics and discuss the findings from the Cisco AppDynamics Application Security Report, titled ‘The shift to a security approach for the full application stack’, which sets out the current challenges facing IT departments.

The speed of application development has increased exponentially over the last two years, in line with a dramatic acceleration of digital transformation across all industries. Organisations have fast-tracked the development of innovative and intuitive applications. This is occurring not just in three-tier application stacks, but increasingly across true cloud native environments and across highly complex and distributed microservices architectures.

Gregg is a senior executive and thought leader with over 27 years experience. During his time in leadership positions for technology companies including Research in Motion and Samsung, Gregg was responsible for Enterprise Services, Enterprise Developer Relations, Sales Engineering and Ecosystem development. He has worked with many F1000 customers and partners on digital transformation, mobility application deployments, DevOps strategies, Analytics and high ROI business solutions. Gregg saw Cisco AppDynamics as a critical solution for successful application delivery and availability, and leverages his past experience to help customers with their application strategies. Gregg holds a Bachelor’s Degree in CIS from Caldwell University.
