Leonardo is involved in all major international missions for earth observation, space exploration, remote sensing for weather phenomena, communication and navigation. Within the space sector, Leonardo together with the joint ventures Telespazio (67% Leonardo, 33% Thales) and Thales Alenia Space (67% Thales, 33% Leonardo) covers the whole market’s production chain: from satellite manufacturing and development of innovative payload and equipment, to in-orbit launch and satellite and geoinformation services.

Through its subsidiary “Leonardo Australia”, Leonardo is present in the country with several offices and commits the local space ecosystem with an office at the Lot Fourteen in Adelaide.
