We last spoke to the Australian Security Leaders Climate Group (ASLCG) in April with Air Vice-Marshal John Blackburn AO (retd) (Available here).

On this edition, we’ll be joined by Australian Army Colonel Neil Greet (retd) who will discuss the ASLCG’s latest report – Missing in Action: Responding to Australia’s Climate & Security Failure.

ASLCG’s assessment is that inaction by Australian governments has left the nation poorly prepared to face global warming’s consequences. ASLCG propose to the government a set of initial actions in a climate and security plan to Protect, Prevent and Prepare, starting with a realistic assessment of the risks.
