We speak with Phil Ridley, CEO and Founder of Quasar Satellite Technologies.

This interview follows our recent visit to CSIRO Marsfield campus to see Quasar’s phased array. Quasar was also recently accepted to the SDA TAP Lab cohort in Colorado Springs.

Global Corporate Venturing, a website serving venture capitalists, has flagged Sydney-based Quasar Satellite Technologies as among the hottest small space companies on the planet that promise to capitalise on the falling cost of space launches.

Quasar says its satellite technology will allow government and non-government entities to “hear the whole sky” and access a real-time map of every space object. It is squarely targeting defence and intelligence agencies and is making a concerted push into the United States. Earlier this year, Quasar participated in the US Air Force’s Catalyst Accelerator program.
