Nokia was selected by NASA to deploy the first 4G/LTE communications system in space and help pave the way towards sustainable human presence on the lunar surface. Bell Labs’ pioneering innovations was used to build the first ultra-compact, low-power, space-hardened, integrated LTE solution and deploy it on the lunar surface. This mission demonstrated the benefits of advanced communication technologies for mission critical applications.
