We speak with Venkat Pillay, CEO and Co-Founder of LC60 AI, in Kuala Lumpur to discuss the Water and Soil Intelligence Initiative Malaysia (WASIIM), highlighting the need for better satellite data due to erratic seasonal changes. The initiative, supported by Spire Global, provides daily soil moisture readings and high-resolution weather forecasts.

The event, attended by over 50 stakeholders, including government agencies, aims to showcase the value of satellite data. LC60 AI is also developing its own satellite constellation, with two satellites in the build process. Partnerships with Sarawak Info Systems and ECU support these efforts, while a ground station in Pahang, Malaysia, will enhance data downlink capabilities.
