In this in-depth interview with Geoff Plummer, Executive Business Manager at Davcor Group, we take a deep dive into two of the industry’s most advanced mechanical key systems — EVVA 4KS and EVVA EPS G2 — and explore how modern master key systems integrate with today’s access control environments.

This discussion highlights how the right key system design can dramatically improve security, governance, and long-term scalability.

The 4KS is a premium maximum security product, designed for high-risk and government environments. With triple shear lines, anti-drill, anti-bump and anti-pick protection, and tight patent control through to 2037, it’s built to resist manipulation and reverse engineering. It also features licensed key cutting and strict governance from factory to locksmith level, making it one of the most tightly controlled mechanical systems on the market.

The EPS G2, or Generation 2, sits in the high-security tier. While more cost-effective, it still offers multiple shear lines, sidebar technology, anti-manipulation features and patent protection through to 2041. It’s ideal for councils, schools, commercial buildings and industrial sites that require scalable master key systems without stepping up to maximum security classification.
